I have some sad news to pass along. Anthony “Shawn” Lawrence passed away over the weekend. Shawn graduated from our Network Security program last June. He also completed his externship here at ECPI in March. I had the honor of going through the Network Security program with him. Everyone here at ECPI wish to send our condolences to his family. Every instructor, staff member, fellow student and anyone who interacted with Shawn here at ECPI can tell you what an amazing man he was. He always had an encouraging word, a good fishing story and an open invitation to his church to hear him sing in the choir. He enjoyed bringing us some of his delicious potato salad or something from his smoker on a regular basis. His heart was as big as his smile. He had to overcome many obstacles to graduate. It was an honor to watch him walk across the stage in June and accept his diploma. You will be missed friend.
