Competition is Heating up! Come support Your Rams!

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff of ECPI University,
This year, the RAMS have some exciting fall esports action lined up, so you can watch, cheer on, or even be a part of the RAMS and compete with your fellow classmates against other colleges and universities from across the country in your favorite competitive Esports games!
Last Week’s Results

Rocket League – Last week the ECPI Rams accepted a Forfeit from Kennesaw State University who failed to check-in and take the field at the designated time due to player absences. While the RAMS never want to win this way, and prefer to take the field, occasionally we end up with forfeit wins, so we take those and move on to focus on next week’s competitive lineup.

League of Legends – Last week the ECPI Rams took on the Southern Virginia University League of Legends team. In a decisive victory, the ECPI Rams dispatched the SVU team 2-0 for the first LoL victory of the fall season. We had been close in the first two matches and knocking on the door of a win, but until last week we had fallen short. Now that we have our first “W” and are settled in, we are ready for the remainder of the season and looking forward to finishing the season with a positive win record!

Call of Duty: League Play – If you missed the CoD season opener, you missed an absolute nail biter of a collegiate esports match against Ashland University. The Rams lost Map 1, but rolled the Ashland team on Map 2. We again traded maps on 3 and 4, so it all came down to a S&D mode on map 5, first team to win 6 rounds wins…and wouldn’t you know it, it came down the absolute last round (11th round), tied 5-5. Then on the last round, it boiled down to the final two players going head to head for a final 1v1 showdown. The Rams did their level best, but in the end, fell to Ashland 2-3.
